Auto-build a library from your website
Auto-build reads your company website and uses AI to write tidy knowledge documents from it. You type your domain; Voxido does the rest and adds the documents to your library.
Find it: Sidebar → Knowledge → pick a library → Connect source → Auto-build from a website (marked AI)
You can also start it from an agent: Knowledge → expand a library → Auto-build from website.
When to use it
The problem: your website has the answers, but they're spread over many pages, in banners and long paragraphs. A plain import gives the agent messy text.
Why Auto-build: the AI pulls the facts together into clean documents (services, prices, policies), which are easier to search.
| If… | Use |
|---|---|
| Your site is messy or long, and you want a quick start | Auto-build |
| Your pages are already clear (an FAQ page, a price page), or you want to pick pages | Add a website |
| You have the facts in a document already | Upload files |
Always read what Auto-build writes. It's an AI draft.
Run Auto-build
- Go to Sidebar → Knowledge and pick the library in the Library picker.
- Click Connect source → Auto-build from a website. You'll see: the Auto-build from a website window: "Enter the company domain…". Under the box: "Documents are added to (library name)."
- Type your domain, for example
brightway.in. - Click Start auto-build. You'll see: the window closes, and a progress card appears above the list.
- Wait for it to finish. You can leave the page; the card comes back when you return. You'll see: the card move through "Crawling sitemap…", "Scraping pages…", "Synthesising with AI…", then "Done — N pages scraped". A message says "Auto-build complete".
- Open the Files tab and read the new documents. Fix anything wrong with Edit.

Rules and limits
- It reads up to 30 pages of your site.
- Only one build per library at a time: "A build is already in progress for this library."
- Use your own company website. Social networks, search engines, link shorteners and email domains are refused: "Please enter your own company website, not a public platform or email provider domain."
- Read-only libraries (Google Sheet or property system) can't be auto-built into.
Running it again replaces documents with the same name
A second run deletes earlier auto-built documents that have the same name as the new ones, then adds the new versions. If you renamed an auto-built document, it won't be replaced, so you may get two copies. Delete old copies yourself before re-running.
Common problems
The button is greyed out. The library is read-only, or a build is already running.
It says "Build failed". Check the domain is spelled right and the site is online. Try again, or use Add a website instead.
The documents have wrong facts. Edit them in the Files tab. The AI can misread banners or old pages.
